Delivery Charges

We deliver to you using one of 2 methods. Due to the limitations and potential problems involved when supplying and delivering heavy items such as furniture, we have to impose a few minor conditions - please make sure you are happy with these conditions before making a purchase:-

Method 1 - Two Man Carrier

This service is used generally for the Larger or Multiple items (the vast majority of our business). As soon as you have completed checkout, we book your furniture in with our courier. They collect from us within five working days and will then centralise the furniture in a despatch warehouse close to you. Once the item is centralised they will telephone you directly to book the delivery, (this is why we will always ask for your telephone numbers to be given on checkout). They will generally call you within 48 hours of us letting you know your furniture has been despatched and will discuss with you possible dates for your delivery. Please be aware that the day offered for delivery will be in accordance with the carrier's delivery schedule and route plans on a date that the carriers schedule will place them in your postcode area.

For Example:- Our carriers scheduled route may be that they deliver to the XX postcode on Wednesdays or Fridays. This will generally be the same route every week, therefore you would need to make arrangements to be available to accept delivery on the day that the carrier is in your area (they will contact you to discuss this before the delivery). If you are not available on the first date suggested our carriers would gladly offer the delivery for the following week etc etc. Please accept our apologies in advance if the carriers route is not the most suitable day for you, however the days that the carriers offer for delivery will be in line with the existing schedules.

In certain remote areas of the UK our carrier may only operate a single day per week for that area. Please take this into account before purchasing our furniture as once the items are despatched from our warehouses the costs involved with return will be with the customer.

These items will be delivered by 2 man delivery and delivered to a ground floor room of your choice, the carriers will not unwrap or assemble any items. The items will generally be delivered via a 7.5 tonne vehicle so please be sure your property is accessible for this size of truck.

If you have ordered multiple items, we will always try and combine your delivery and therefore we will despatch multiple items together. The lead time for your delivery will be dictated by your longest lead time item.

We can deliver to the mainland UK (certain areas of the Highlands of Scotland attract a small surcharge). In addition, we can also ship to the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland, again with a small surcharge applied.

Method 2 - Parcel Carrier

This method is mainly used generally for smaller single items (normally under 30kg), but sometimes, individual larger items may be sent via this method. We will contact you on despatch when the item has been released to carriers explaining delivery method and providing full tracking details. The item should be with you within 72 hours of despatch.

Please note, unlike method 1, our parcel carrier will not telephone ahead to book the delivery. If, you are not in when they deliver, they will leave a card with a contact details for you to call and agree a convenient date. Please note, this card must be responded to within 48 hours to avoid the item being returned to us and subsequently creating an aborted delivery charge. Unfortunately, our carriers cannot offer any timed or weekend drops and this will be a one man door to door service. In some cases, assistance will be required with lifting the item from the vehicle.

The carrier should not arrange a timed delivery with you and if they do, please be aware that we advise you to decline as this is not governed by our Terms and Conditions. If you do arrange a timed delivery, we cannot accept any liability for and losses or inconvenience which may be caused by delivery failures due to unforeseen circumstances.

Please note; If any of your items are damaged in any way, please email us immediately (sales@limebanana.com) and we will take things from there.

Collections

You are more than welcome to collect your furniture from us directly. Just give us a call or email and we'll arrange a suitable time for someone to meet and greet you. We'll even help you load the furniture into your vehicle! Collections can generally be arranged at a time suitable and convenient to you (evenings or weekends aren't a problem).

Please just be aware that packaging generally adds 10% to the item size when sizing your vehicle to collect with. You could always contact us and we can provide exact dimensions of the boxes your furniture comes in.
